Where do your elderberries come from?

Our Elderberries are grown right here on our farm near Sombra, Ontario, between the beautiful St. Clair River and the 40 Hyw on Bentpath line.

What produce do you supply?

In the upcoming year, our product lineup will include frozen Elderberries, freeze-dried Elderberries, jellies, jams, syrups, gummies, and shrubs. Pies and tarts and muffins will be available at the farm gate.

Additionally, in 2025 we will offer items made from elderflowers, such as elderflower cordial—a sweet, delightful beverage with numerous health benefits and dried elderflower.

How do I store my elderberry syrup and how long does it last?

The Elderberry syrup, when stored in the refrigerator, has a shelf life of around 60 days. Additionally, if you prefer, you can freeze the syrup in ice cube trays for 6-8 months. Thawing out smaller portions as needed makes it a convenient choice, especially for families not planning to use Elderberry syrup daily for preventive purposes.

How often should I take elderberry and how much is one dose?

It is advisable to consult with your healthcare provider and conduct thorough research before incorporating Elderberry into your routine. Suggested adult serving is roughly one tablespoon per day, while a child serving is approximately one teaspoon per day. Elderberry can be taken once daily or, if necessary, up to three times a day.

It is always advisable to consult with your physician. Many people incorporate  Elderberry syrup into their daily routine throughout the year. Some prefer using it daily in colder months, while others turn to it only when seeking immune system support. We encourage customers to conduct their research, consult their doctors, and use our syrup in a way that best suits their and their family’s needs.

Is your syrup organic?

Our Elderberries are organicly grown meaning we are not using herbicides and commercial fertilizers. Weed control is by lawn mower, mulch, physically pulling /hoeing weeds and cutting ground cover with lawn mower. We planted specific types of plants to produce nutrients for the Elderberries. Disease and insects will be monitored and controlled by pruning.
